List Building Using a Webinar

List building is one of the major obstacles to online marketers success, yet it is an important aspect the development of a successful internet marketing business.
They say that the “money is in list”. That isn't strictly true as success depends on how you use the list once you have, it and whether your list is targeted to the right people. It's not much use trying sell dancing shoes to people who are not interested in dancing not offering driving lessons to experienced drivers. Successful marketers will have built a list of potential prospective purchasers for the product they are wanting to offer.
How can you build a targeted list?
There are several ways you can go about building your list but in general it is necessary to find out where the potential targets are and then go and introduce yourself to them. It's that simple - find the prospects, say hello, allow them to get to know you and become friendly. At that stage you are in a potion to offer them your product.
One way of trying to get to know your prospects is to visit forums that they might visit. Make some constructive posts on those forums and as time goes on you will get to know people. I have however found from experience that specialist forums can make life difficult for new comers and you may be treated as a spammer. Quite recently I wanted to write a book about the experience of Sleep Apnoea suffers and was searching for people who I could interview to gather the content for the book. I registered on the specialist sites throughout the world but was treated with suspicion and as a spammer. In the end I decided to move on a do something else.
Build your list with a webinar
One way that you can build a very effective list of prospective buyers is to run a webinar devoted to your chosen topic. This is not as daunting as it may first sound and can produce very positive results.
What is a webinar?
A webinar is a great intenet too which allows you to run a conference without ever having to leave the comfort of your home or office. It allows for many people to hook up to your presentation, to ask questions and to allow you to make your offer and hopefully obtain sales. One tremendous benefit of a webinar is that it can be recorded meaning that it may be put onto youtube and people will be able to watch your presentation and buy from you long after the date that the webinar was held.
With regards to your offer this can be anything you like. If you have a product of your own then that would be ideal but if you haven't then why not use an affiliate product. If you are seeking to build a list in a particular niche or genre then an affiliate product can be ideal.
Running a webinar can be a perfect way of building a list in your chosen niche.
Webinar building procedure
The basic procedure in setting up your webinar are quite simple and following steps are usually followed to achive good results:-
Invite people to come to your webinar
If you do not have a list I would suggest that you find someone else with a list in your topic. This can be done either by searching for Solo Ad providers in your topic who will send an invition to the people on their list or alternatively do a joint venture with another marketerworking on a share of the profit from the webinar.
Solo ads are not usually too expensive and can work well and if you run a joint venture you can often benefit from someone elses experience. If this is your first webinar this can be beneficial.
Run your webinar
This is farly self explanatory but there are procedures that should be followed if you are to obtain the best results. The webinar itself should have an introduction where you let your attendees know about you and where you can establish your credibility and build your relationship with them. I would also let them know there will be an offer and there will also be something special for them later in the webinar. This is important as it avoids the attendees from feeling that they are being misled and allows them to leave the webinar of the wish to.
Tell them that they will have an opportunity to ask questions once you have finished your presentation.
Try to ensure that your audience is “hooked” by making some points or asking some questions which will have them hanging with anticipation to hear the answer.
When making points during the webinar do everything you can back up the points that make. Ask positive questions like “If this product could.....you would be interested, wouldn't you?”
As your presenation comes to an end do briefly review the points made stressing to major ones.
Make your webinar offer
Once you have made your presentation then you can make your offer. Make your offer very clearly and stress the benefits of your product or service to your audience. As an incentive to persuade people to purchase from on the night do ensure that you have some special offers to make that are only available on the day. Stress the offers to them several times. Once you have made the offer then make a call to action. Also do offer a guarantee of satsifaction to your customers.
Let the audience at your webinar ask questions
The question and answer session is most important and treat it with care. This is the time when you are able to help alleviate fears and make sure that your audience are at ease. Time spect dealing confidently with questions and objections will pay dividends.
Ensure you make a webinar replay available
By recording your webinar and then putting up a replay you can allow sceptics present at the live show to carry out a review and give the opportunity new people may also watch your presentation. In any event you should get more purchasers and it is a pity to waste your efforts. No matter that the bonuses are no longer available as this confirms integrity to those who purchased at the live show. You will still get customers.
